Lying on the lakeside, sun beating down harshly on my skin. I see boats racing across the water like cheetahs, chopping up behind as they go, smell of petrol fumes rise through the air but muffled by the waft of barbecues. The joyful kids splash through the cool water, while the adults chatter amongst each other and laugh like a pack of hyenas. The wet dogs shake off the water, it sprays in my face. It is very hot now and I dreaming for a swim. I hear the water slipping up the lakeside and back like a snake. It is trying to pull me closer, it is a hypnotist. Wanaka, the best place on earth
