Bay of Plenty/Coromandel
Sophie, 14My favourite place in New Zealand to visit is Rotorua.
I’ve been going there ever since I was little. In Rotorua, you can see the amazing mud pools, watch geysers explode, ride a raft down a waterfall and go for long walks around parts of the lakes.
Rotorua is a historical site, as it is where many Māori had settled.
You can see the popular tourist attraction ‘The Buried Village’, which are the remains of the Māori village that was buried in ash from the Mount Tarawera eruption.
