Patuna Chasm

Mcaelyn, 13

It’s becoming darker, as dark as a raven’s wing. As you walk into the cold and moving water you slip and fall. People turn off the torch and you see green stars like fireflies on the roof. The smooth roof of the cave which in some places you can touch is cold, but not as cold as the knee-deep water. We came closer to the end of the dark cave. We see eels. Some people shriek but I look closer and smile. We are out of the cave and we walk back to get our bags and clothing that we left behind.
