Matamata Sport Centre
Ashton, 10The water surges past me as I rebound off the mini tramp and pin drop into the coiled water. At training I can see people panting like they just swam 55 km instead of 5 km. The vibrant lane ropes is all I see because I keep crashing into them. I see the younger kids gasping for breath after their races are complete. I can taste the chlorine in my mouth. I can taste the $1 pack of lollies after a hard training and find a sour lolly, which makes me squirm. I swim so much I basically live there.
