Bay of Plenty/Coromandel
Jay, 12The golden sand fresh from the oven grabs my weak feet. The crystal blue sea grabs my eye like a torch being shone at the mirror. I can see the enjoyment in the faces around me not having to worry about anything. The young boys play with their family border collie in the shallow sea, spraying all the bypassers who get annoyed before bursting into laughter. The kayaks are in close to the shore, they glide through the flat water watching all the young fish under them. The open cave shelters the picnickers from the vicious sun. As the sun falls asleep the memories stick as the beach clears.
