Emily, 12Children are laughing and playing in the salty waves while parents watch from a safe spot away from the chaos. It has colourful rocks from the tide and sea-life hiding in between gaps and puddles. Seagulls fly up above dropping their meal down to the ground in an attempt to open it. As the hot sand touches my feet, the salty breeze cools me down. There is joy in little kids faces as they run from the waves. You can hear the screams of excited people over at the carnival. The sea glistens in the beaming sun as the cushiony clouds pass by. Caroline Bay is my favourite outdoor spot in NZ.
